Meet BIFE students who have graduated from this course...

denise dunphy"I recently completed my two year Holistic Well-Being course in BIFE. It has been the best experience of my life. It has helped my life in so many ways. I feel so confident working as a therapist now because of the excellent teaching from the teachers in the college. It has also given me the confidence to build my business up to greater heights now as I have many more qualifications. As a result of attending this course I feel that I want to go onto do more courses in college to add to the treatments I have already studied in. My future plan is to successfully run my own business using all the tools I learned in BIFE." - Denise Dunphy

Having taken a career break following the birth of my son, I decided to return to study as a mature student. I have always wanted to work for myself and felt that Holistic and Wellness Studies at BIFE would equip me with the skills necessary to start up my own business. Despite having little prior knowledge of Holistic therapy I loved the course. The reflexology and aromatherapy modules were particular favourites of mine. The course can be challenging at times but is very rewarding and the head of the course bends over backwards to support her students. As students model for each other you spend a lot of time receiving treatments which is something I greatly miss now that we’re finished. I used my work experience module as an opportunity to set up a therapy room in my gym and I continue to work there now. The opportunities for continued learning in the wellness arena are vast but I intend to expand my knowledge of aromatherapy with a view to making bespoke cosmetics for my clients.- Caroline Murphy

My time at BIFE gave me a solid foundation to go forward and open my own holistic practice. The course was very thorough with a large range of treatments taught with a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology which is a vital component in the field of bodywork. It has given me a high standard of professionalism and duty of care to my clients. It also gave me the opportunity to mix with like minded classmates and given me some cherished friendships. - Cathy Prunty

As a mature student returning to education and taking on a 2 year Holistic and Wellbeing Studies Diploma, I found the course very fulfilling and rewarding.  The teaching skills I received were to the highest level both theoretical and practical for this internationally recognised qualification. My qualification enabled me to progress on to a B.Sc. Degree in Physical Therapy.  The class structure worked very well with a healthy balance of age cohorts, which allowed life learning experiences to be exchanged.  The support of the teachers and guidance I received during my course, gave me the confidence and skill to continue my life learning path.  I received student of the year and this was a very proud moment for me.  I owe a big thank you to my wonderful teachers for allowing me to grow and achieve my goals in my time at BIFE. - Geraldine Nicholson
